Pour la toute première fois, une sélection suggestive des premiers enregistrements obscurs d'EDGE OF SANITY est officiellement disponible sur 2LP (23 titres) et 2CD Ltd (23 + 13 titres bonus) avec carte O. Sous le titre « Elegy - Chapter I », les premières démos (promo, test ou studio) « Euthanasia » (1989), « The Immortal Rehearsals » (1990), « kur-nu-gi-a » (1990), « The Dead » (1990) et « Dead But Dreaming » (1991) ont été transportées du cimetière à la morgue pour être ressuscitées par le compositeur/frontman/producteur Dan Swanö (Opeth, Dissection, Bloodbath). Les cinq démos ont été remasterisées par Swanö, les 13 pistes d'« Euthanasia », « kur-nu-gi-a » et « The Dead » ayant également fait l'objet de remixes nécromantiques pour le disque bonus. Doté d'une toute nouvelle pochette dessinée à la main par l'artiste Mark Rudolph (Carcass, Undeath), « Elegy - Chapter I » est de la vieille garde pour tous les gardiens à revivre ou à redécouvrir. EDGE OF SANITY n'a pas toujours été à la pointe du death metal. Non, sur « Elegy - Chapter I », les Suédois ont bel et bien saigné le death metal. Il s'agit d'une collection de death metal underground suédois de la vieille école dans sa meilleure forme !
